How we work

 

Why do you need a credit card?

We ask for you to provide credit card details to show commitment and to be sure that you are serious.  As well it also provides our hotel partners with the security of knowing that this is not a “window shopping” request.

 

What happens to the credit card? What are the chances of CC fraud?

Your credit card details are forwarded directly to our bank; they are not even seen by our staff members. Fraud opportunities are virtually nil.

 

Do you capture funds from our credit card immediately?

No. There are no funds captured until you confirm any offer we may send you. We have a 72 hour window at our bank before we must capture funds or your credit card details will be purged. If you would like to confirm after that you will have to give us CC details a second time.

 

Why are the funds that are captured from my credit card non-refundable?

At the Activelifestyle Travel Network we are professionals. We know the Alps and have almost 30-years experience working and living there. We do not work for nothing. We will work for you without any obligation on your part, but once you except we need to be paid.

 

So who is paying you? Will I pay more for having used your services?

No. The hotel pays us and the sum they pay comes out of your final, agreed to by you, costs. If anything you will save some money.

 

So if I cancel for any reason I forfeit the agreed deposit?

Yes.

 

What happens after I make a credit card backed request?

We will contact every hotel or accommodation supplier in the categories you have selected. We provide them with your details and travel needs and ask them to send us an offer. We will send all offers to you for your perusal. You are under no obligation to accept any offer. We ask that you inform us of your non-acceptance. Neither the travel supplier nor you will be provided with contact details of the other.

 

Why can I only request two categories of accommodation?

Well we reckon that someone that wants a five or four star accommodation might be uncomfortable in one bearing two. So why bother the latter? Equally someone wanting say, self catering accommodation would not be interested in a half pension hotel? We are trying to eliminate non-focused requests. This will make the entire procedure more precise and faster for everyone involved.

 

What if me or someone in our party has special needs? What can you do for us?

Please put any special needs in your request. These will be highlighted and forwarded to the travel supplier. We will do our level best to accommodate you.
